Just a dude trying
to create art.
Paul is a San Diego native whose interest in Photography started when a neighbor gave him a camera and a black & white developing kit at the age of 10. He graduated from Brooks Institute of Photographic Art & Science with a BA in Photography and Motion Picture Production and in the mid-70’s had the opportunity to work as a cinematographer and sound engineer during the filming of the cult classic movie "Attack of The Killer Tomatoes".
Paul’s passion for photographic art soon prevailed over moviemaking and for the last 50+ years, he has continued fashioning his unique style of photographic imagery. Paul is a master of hidden composition; his art consists of strong graphics combined with vivid colors and leading lines. He doesn’t necessarily have a preconceived image in mind when he clicks the shutter rather, his images go through a metamorphosis that evolves over time in “the digital darkroom.” Some may require several hours to reach the level of artistry he desires while others can take years before he’s satisfied with the visual impact of the image.
